Métaphores x Nilufar

In occasion of the Milan Design Week 2025, the French textile house Métaphores, company of Hermès group, announces “Edges”, a collaboration with the prestigious Nilufar Gallery and curated by Studio MILO. This installation, placed in front of Nilufar Depot’s location, aims to create a dialogue between the new outdoor fabric collection by Métaphores, “L’Échappée”, and a selection of furniture designed by Gae Aulenti, part of Nilufar’s collection.

Studio MILO envisioned two islands of green as secret shelters. A journey into the green, where lush vegetation intertwines with slender, industrial yet elegant structures and shadows that protect, welcome and invite discovery. The roofs modulate the light, creating changing and unexpected atmospheres. “Edges” is not just a place to explore, but an invitation to get lost in textures, patterns, textile and colors of Métaphores.

The iconic curves of the Gae Aulenti’s furniture highlight the Métaphores fabrics, inspired by the spirit of travel and the authenticity of natural textures. A selection of chairs, tables and armchairs from Nilufar are adorned with eclectic patterns.

Celebrating the links between Italy and France, this collaboration is an invitation to rethink the outdoor space as a place of beauty, conviviality and reverie.
