In 2021, Studio Milo was invited, alongside four other studios, to design the concept for Mulberry’s factory store at the UK flagship, with the goal of reinterpreting and integrating the brand’s core values through a more sustainable lens.
The proposed design concept aimed to seamlessly integrate sustainability at every touchpoint, transforming the store into a space that not only celebrated Mulberry’s legacy but also set a new standard for responsible design. This included forward-thinking approaches to ethical sourcing, the use of cutting-edge sustainable materials, and a strong focus on upcycling and reducing environmental impact.
Studio Milo sought to create a design that reflected Mulberry’s longstanding commitment to sustainability while propelling the brand into the future. The store was envisioned as a forward-thinking destination, a space where customers could connect with the brand’s vision for a sustainable future, while remaining rooted in Mulberry’s timeless heritage. It was designed as a place where sustainability, innovation, and community would converge, offering customers a glimpse of the future of fashion.
However, the store concept remained only an idea and was never realized.
