The renovation of Kensington’s house, a one thousand square meters building in the South end district, has completely transformed a typical London Muse House into a sophisticated single-family house. The central element of the project is the full-height spiral staircase, an architectural gesture with a strong visual impact. The house is spread over four levels, including two basements for the common areas and the two upper ones dedicated to the private life. From the backyard it is possible to directly access the family living on the first basement floor, thanks to a cavedium, a pure volume made of glass frames, which donates a soft light to the space.
