The project, designed by Studio MILO, beautifully captures the idea that, deep inside, we never truly want to grow up. It explores the playful spirit of childhood, representing it as an ongoing activity—a never-ending dream. This concept goes beyond nostalgia, allowing that childlike sense of wonder and creativity to stay with us throughout life.
Nestled in nature with a privileged view, the small house is elevated three meters on stilts, hugging the trees like a magnificent nest. This elevated position not only provides sweeping views of the landscape but also creates a seamless connection between the house and the natural world, making it feel like an integral part of its surroundings.
The house serves as a perfect space for a child’s imagination to roam free, while also offering a “private and unique retreat” for anyone seeking peace and solitude. The windows are designed as vertical cuts in the structure, framing breathtaking views of the landscape, while maintaining a sense of privacy. This thoughtful design ensures the occupants remain connected to nature, while enjoying a peaceful, introspective haven.
